A Few More Tips to Keep in Mind

Ultimately, we want you all to be comfortable and authentically you. If any of these suggestions do not resonate with you, that is okay. These tips are merely a wardrobe guide you can refer to if needed.

  • Try to keep prints bold and minimal when photographing a group (No more than 1 or 2 people wearing bold patterns in a group).

  • Horizontal stripes typically are not flattering to a figure.

  • Keep it classic.

  • If you are wearing nail polish, make sure it isn’t chipped.

  • Stay away from neon colors (it affects skin tones).

Having Trouble Choosing Colors?

If you don’t know where to begin with choosing a color palette, you can’t go wrong by following seasonal color schemes.

FALL: (think earthy tones) maroon and brown; tan and denim; cream, navy and tan; denim, crimson and yellow.

WINTER: (think cool tones) glitter and white; crimson and navy; crimson, tan, and blue; grey, black, and red; green, rose, and copper.

SPRING: (think vibrancy) white and blush; teal and blush; white, tan, and light blue; white, navy and yellow.

SUMMER: (think warm fun colors or pastels) teal and orange; white and tan; primary colors; white, tan, and light blue.

Neutrals (cream, tan, grey, oatmeal, light blue) are great for all seasons.
